A drive to a walk

With all of the craziness, we decided today was a day to step back for a few hours, spend time together and enjoy the outdoors.  It was a tonic we all desperately needed. 

We drove to Artist Point, the eastern end of Hwy 542. For our money, one of the absolute best views and simple walks near a road. Anywhere.

The weather was a foggy and cloudy mess in town. We heard we might get above it / might not on the mountain. Needless to say, we did! At least looking east to Mt Shukson. Mt Baker was mostly shrouded in clouds. 

Our lunch spot. A river of clouds in the valley. On clear days you can see Rainier and Lake Chelan. 

Neomi wanted to lead most of the way. She did great!



Some of the steps were pretty big for a 4 year old!



There quite a few people. Masks on, masks off, masks back on! Neomi decided just to keep hers on for most of it.
