Random Stuff

Here are some random pictures and stories from the trip.

Neomi was a great traveler. She carried at least one of her bags each travel day often both.

We made yummy pain au chocolats!

The Chagall museum in Nice was stunning. They had a great movie of an opera interpreted with modern dance too.

Instead of Keurigs, they are really into Nespresso machines. They were in each AirBnB and there were fancy Nespresso stores in every town.

David was really cool.

Less crowded back here too!

We toured several cathedrals. In Bologna Neomi noticed that candles were lit on the side. She asked why. I told her to remember people who were important to them who had died. I told her she didn’t know anyone who died. She immediately corrected me and told me Aunt Bea had died and that she wanted to light a candle for her, to keep her in her heart. So we did.

Bologna also had an old Jewish ghetto. There is very little left of it now. Jews were expelled 500 years ago. But they had a map of what it looked like and we did walk around. These maps were posted throughout the area.

In Milan we went to the only Starbucks in Italy. It is one of the fancy roastery’s. Similar to Seattle’s, except with style, color and entirely in Italian.
