We loaded up and headed to San Juan Island. It was Neomi's first ferry ride. She liked it. Mom and dad were a little nervous. We took her outside once to catch the breeze and see the sights.
We packed a lunch and had fun hanging out on the boat.

Uncle Andrew had some Neomi time on deck.

The big kids enjoyed each other's company!

We arrived and went to Lime Kiln State Park. We didn't see whales, but had fun walking around. We did see two porpoises.

After, we went back to the amazing place Andrew and Julie rented. Eliza flew a kite with uncle Kinsey.

Eliza then sang a goofy song with Juliet.

Sophia had fun while Neomi LOVED chewing on her sweatshirt string.

The next day we walked around Roche Harbor. At lunch, Neomi was zonkered!

We went back to American camp. There were two bald eagle chicks in a nest just by the visitors center.

There was a fox there too!

We walked down to the water. Eliza found a bone or two. Juliet and Eliza found sea glass. Adam and Nyda saw an orca out in the Strait. Nyda's FIRST whale sighting. Ever!
By the time everyone joined them on the cliff, we thought it was gone. But Julie saw one off in the distance. There were two, in the end, swimming close enough to be seen, but too far to see in the picture below.

On the ferry home Juliet fed Neomi dinner of avocado and squash. She loved it!

Another (nerve wracking) trip outside.

We were the first car on the boat and had a great spot up front! The girls took a cool selfie.

Ava loved hanging out until we landed, catching the water spray and enjoying the sights.
